Ribbed natural rubber pads with an alternating high and low rib pattern that flexes under load to absorb vibration. Six standard sizes from 3 inch to 18 inch square in 3/8 inch thickness, carrying up to 480kg. Cut to size on site with shears or a knife, and stack layers to increase deflection.

How Ribbed Anti-Vibration Pads Work
An anti-vibration pad is the simplest isolator there is, and for a great many installations it is also the right one. There is no bolting, no bracket, no thread to align: the pad sits between the machine foot and the floor, and the ribbed rubber does the work. That makes it the fastest way to cut transmitted vibration and structure-borne noise from an existing installation without lifting or re-drilling anything.
The performance comes from the rib pattern. Each face carries alternating high and low ribs, and the two faces are oriented so that the ribs cross. Under load the ribs deflect laterally as well as compressing, which gives the pad a much softer effective spring rate than a plain rubber sheet of the same thickness. The result is real isolation from a component under 10mm thick.
Pads are supplied as squares and are designed to be cut. Trim the pad slightly larger than the machine foot or leg using shears or a sharp knife, so the load is spread over the full ribbed area. Where more deflection is needed than a single pad provides, layers can be stacked, ideally with a thin steel shim between them to keep the ribs from nesting into each other.
ABAW stocks the BPF series in six sizes from 3 inch to 18 inch square, with recommended loads from 65kg to 410kg and maximum loads to 480kg per pad. Stock is held in Sharjah for immediate supply across the UAE and export to GCC and African markets.

Load the pad to the recommended figure rather than the maximum for best isolation and service life. Cut the pad slightly larger than the machine foot so the load spreads across the full ribbed area, and avoid loading only the centre of a large pad.
Key Features & Benefits
Alternating high and low rib pattern deflects laterally for a softer effective spring rate
No bolting or drilling required, the pad simply sits under the machine foot
Cut to size on site with ordinary shears or a knife, no special tooling
Stack multiple layers to increase deflection where extra isolation is needed
Six standard sizes from 3 inch to 18 inch square cover feet, legs and full baseplates
Loads to 480kg per pad, so four pads support machinery approaching two tonnes
Cuts structure-borne noise as well as vibration transmission
Retrofits to existing installations without lifting or re-drilling the machine
Natural rubber compound gives high resilience and long service life indoors
Ready stock in Sharjah with same-week dispatch across the UAE

Supplying Across the UAE, GCC and Africa
ABAW holds ready stock at our Sharjah warehouse and dispatches to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the northern emirates within days, with regular export shipments to the GCC and African markets.
ABAW is an anti-vibration rubber pad supplier in Sharjah and Dubai, UAE, stocking the ribbed BPF series in six sizes from 3 inch to 18 inch square with load ratings to 480kg. Anti-vibration machine pads are used across UAE workshops, plant rooms, factories, HVAC installations and generator rooms to cut vibration and structure-borne noise. We supply rubber anti-vibration pads in bulk to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and the northern emirates, and export to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I cut an anti-vibration pad to size?
Measure the machine foot or leg, then mark and cut the pad slightly larger than that footprint so the load is carried across the full ribbed area rather than concentrated at the edges. Ordinary tin snips, heavy shears or a sharp utility knife will cut the 3/8 inch rubber cleanly. Cut on a flat surface and take a straight edge along the line rather than sawing at it, which leaves a ragged edge that can tear in service.
Can I stack anti-vibration pads to get more deflection?
Yes, and it is a standard technique. Two pads deflect roughly twice as far under the same load as one, which lowers the natural frequency of the installation and improves isolation. Place a thin steel plate between the layers so the ribs of one pad do not nest into the grooves of the other, which would defeat the purpose. Do not stack more than two or three layers without support, as a tall soft stack becomes laterally unstable under a heavy machine.
How many pads do I need under a machine?
Use one pad at each existing foot or leg, which is normally four. Divide the machine weight by the number of feet and choose a size whose recommended load rating exceeds that figure. If the machine has no defined feet and sits on a continuous base, run a strip of pad along each bearing edge or use several larger pads spaced along the base. Loading to the recommended figure rather than the maximum gives better isolation and longer life.
Are ribbed pads better than a plain rubber sheet?
For isolation, yes. A plain rubber sheet of the same thickness is very stiff in compression because the rubber has nowhere to go sideways, so it deflects very little and transmits most of the vibration through. The ribs on an anti-vibration pad give the rubber room to deform laterally as it compresses, which produces far more deflection from the same thickness and therefore real isolation performance.
Are these pads suitable for outdoor or oily environments?
The standard compound is natural rubber, which has excellent resilience and mechanical properties but limited resistance to oils, fuels and prolonged UV exposure. For plant rooms with standing oil, for outdoor rooftop installations or for areas subject to solvent spillage, ask us about nitrile or EPDM alternatives, which we can supply in the same ribbed format.
